Radford Dale Touchstone Chardonnay
The second release Chardonnay from our organic estate in Elgin specialist white varietals. “This sets a whole new bar for Elgin Chardonnay”, according to JancisRobinson.com.
Radford Dale Vinum Chardonnay
We’ve a long history with these mature Chardonnay vines, well situated to benefit from the cool maritime influence of False Bay. Our specialist varietal, now a feature in our best style to value range of RD Vinum.
Blackbook Chardonnay
One of England’s best still wines, this small batch Chardonnay hails from the dynamic young talents of Blackbook in London, who source fruit from the more temperate east coast of the country. We were introduced to the wine in a blind Chardonnay benchmark tasting at Lismore via Tim Atkin MW, where it excelled. The wait to land an allocation has been worth it.
Murdoch Hill Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
The elevated and stunning cool-climate of the Adelaide Hills have emerged as a hotspot for the Australian young-gun, a reference point being the wines of Mick Downer, who presides over the family vineyards in Oakbank. His family have farmed here since 1939, across cattle, hens, flowers and potatoes, whilst establishing vineyards in 1998. Coming in off mature vineyards around 600m above sea level, this is a highly acclaimed Chardonnay for those who enjoy finely tuned expressions of the varietal with texture and minerality, underpinned by a thrilling natural acid line.
Jacqueson Rully Chardonnay
To the south of the Burgundy heartland, Rully was long associated with Chardonnay for the regions sparkling wine production, Cremant de Bourgogne. Today, it’s among the best still wine buys of all Burgundy, particularly when you have a specialist independent set on championing the village, as Jacqueson. Top class and a fine vintage.
Beaujolais 'Clos du Vieux Bourg' 2020
Fruity and saline the colour is pale, crystalline yellow which in time will change to gold. The nose expresses lovely white flesh fruit whilst the palate has the subtle citrus fruit flavour of pomelo. The vines are naturally grassed every other row to avoid too much vigor, the other is worked to make the roots of the vine plunge deep into the soil.
